Taal Volcano is a complex volcano located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is the second most active volcano in the Philippines with 33 historical eruptions. All of these eruptions are concentrated on Volcano Island, an island near the middle of Taal Lake. The lake partially fills Taal Caldera, which was formed by prehistoric eruptions between 140,000 and 5,380 BP. Viewed from Tagaytay Ridge, Taal Volcano and Lake presents one of the most picturesque and attractive views in the Philippines. It is located about 50 km (31 mi) south of the capital of the country, the city of Manila.
Uniqueness of Program
The International Training Program of the FMI International Institute and Study Center is a very unique leadership program and should never be thought of as just another set of Bible classes. It consists of a blended curriculum integrating theological education as well as practical community development and e-courses from some of the best universities in the world.
First of all, students and faculty must have the understanding that an extremely vital message has to be communicated to this generation in which we live. They must understand that this message is for all nations, kindred’s, tribes and people ( with no discrimination – and respect for all). They must understand that this message is motivated by the love of God for the people of this earth. We want the love of God to permeate every word, every action and every class. It is the love of God that sees each individual as a special creation endowed with the gifts and talents given by their creator. It is the love of God that motivates our teachers to help each student discover and develop their gifts and talents in order to fulfill the will of God for their lives. It is the love of God that then encourages them to go out and fulfill whatever their calling might be.
FMI Int’l Ministries believes that it is called for this purpose - for the training and equipping of the body of Christ to fulfill the work of the ministry so that they can grow unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. This is the purpose so that not only Christ can be ‘in’ them but they can be found ‘in Christ’ the hope of the fullness of God’s glory and power in the earth.
This is why our teaching will do everything possible to bring the students to the place in their relationship with the Christ so that they will be worshipers first.. Those that will sit at His feet and offer up psalms, and hymns and spiritual songs.. those that will make melody in their hearts to the Lord continually and thus be equipped with the precious anointing of the Holy Spirit that will enable them to receive and understand God’s living word. Then they can go out and do the exploits and the ‘greater things’ that Jesus talked about. Therefore we will emphasize the place and importance of the presence of God in everything that is done; so that this generation can know the times of refreshing, reviving and renewing that come from the presence of the Lord. It is only then that we can see the Lord high and lifted up and His train (glory) filling the temple (Isaiah). Only then will we be enabled and the coal of fire will touch our lips and we will say with Jeremiah … “there is a fire, and it is now shut up inside of me and I cannot hold it inside any longer”. We must speak to this generation and be instruments in the hands of God to share the wonderful news, the incredible news of God’s love, forgiveness and full salvation.
Each class in our curriculum is set up so that students can be empowered from on high to make disciples and see God’s work spread and be multiplied in the Philippines, in Asia, and in the whole earth.
